Liza Auciello, PsyD, is a licensed clinical psychologist with extensive experience working in the field of mental health. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Hofstra University in New York and her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP-LA) at Alliant International University.
Throughout her career, Dr. Auciello has worked with a diverse range of clients in various settings, including community mental health clinics, hospitals and private practice. Her private practice involves virtual therapy and in person sessions in Malibu. Dr. Auciello specializes in treating individuals with anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, equine and pet loss, life transitions and relationship issues. She currently works with adults.
Dr. Auciello is known for her compassionate and collaborative approach to therapy, which emphasizes building a strong therapeutic relationship with her clients. She uses a cognitive behavioral framework and integrates positive psychology, mindfulness and somatically-oriented interventions. These methods enable clients to develop emotional agility and to build a body and mind that supports the positive changes they want to see in their lives.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Auciello is actively involved in helping mental health professionals to minimize the impact of vicarious trauma. She also helps people move through their leadership journeys, providing executive coaching and burnout prevention strategies.
