Family members, friends, co-workers, neighbors. There are all types of relationships in our lives. Active reflection about the nature and quality of those relationships can help us identify areas in our life where we can heal, grow, and expand.
Take time to ask yourself – is the person I am in a relationship with someone I relate to? Do they relate with me? What is the nature of our relationship? Is our relationship an authentic exchange – or is it transactional? Are we participating equally?
A relational relationship is when two people choose to be together time and time again without the goal of decreasing loneliness or receiving something back.
