Everyone at one point in their lives has cried tears of hurt. Perhaps someone you love died, or you were betrayed by someone you thought deserved your trust. Hopefully, everyone has also cried with laughter from seeing something funny or being in a situation so ridiculous it was hilarious. Have you ever been so angry that you cried? Or have you ever cried tears of joy? Crying doesn’t really have anything to do with emotion. Tears are simply a sign of intensity. They can be seen as the body’s self-cleansing mechanism whenever there are amplified emotions. It is very important to cry when the body wants to cry. If you consistently hold back your tears, you are literally clogging your emotional system.
