The streets you drive to work, the way you take your coffee (or tea), where you sit for dinner. Much of our everyday lives consist of patterns.
These patterns are adaptations that save us time and quickly bring about results that enrich our lives. Unfortunately, when we repeatedly engage in behaviors designed to protect us rather than changing our circumstances, we become hostage to our own mal-adaptive patterns.
How do you change this cycle of behavior?
Notice what leads you to repeat a maladaptive pattern and FLAG IT. When you can recognize your own patterns and why they are there, you will eventually begin to break the pattern by replacing it with beneficial behaviors.
